“Operations with the use of individual endoprotheses have to be available in all regions. Doctors from Chita and Ulan-Ude have already performed a few surgeries in 2019 using individual cranial implants, and thanks to the well-orchestrated cooperation with MedAlyance, the region will have individual items for oral surgery, oncology, neurosurgery and trauma surgery,” Alexander Narchuk, CEO of TEN MedPrint, said.
To implant an individual endoprothesis into a patient, the clinic has to contact the distributor that will refer the order to CML AT Medical for the implant to be developed. After the 3D-model has been approved by the doctor, it is proceeded to contract manufacturing of the individual medical item at TEN MedPrint. After it has been 3D-printed, the item should pass quality control and is then sent for washing, packing and labeling. The full cycle of the development, production and delivery of an individual additive implant for any region of Russia does not take longer than 10 days.
Individual additive endoprotheses make it possible to repair the geometry of bones after bone resections, injuries, in replacement of joints and intervertebral cartilage to the measurements of a patients, and to improve their quality of life after the operation.
