The contract manufacturer TEN fab produces a batch of 3D-printer bodies for Anisoprint

TEN fab (part of the TechnoSpark Group of Companies), a contract manufacturer of mechatronics, medical equipment and robotics produced a series of aluminium bodies for Anisoprint printers using a patented printing technique.

In November 2019, Anisoprint contracted TEN fab to manufacture a pilot series of lightweight bodies for their Composer A3 and Composer A4 printers designed for printing composite items reinforced by continuous fibre.

“Manufacturing 3D-printer bodies for Anisoprint required extremely precise processing of components. The client comes up with rigorous requirements for the geometry of the printing table, repeatability of components and coincidence of hole axes for mountings. To produce the bodies, TEN fab used high-precision milling CNC machines, and the dimensions and geometry of components were controlled by a coordinate measuring machine,” Yury Bocharov, commercial director of TEN fab, said.

Manufacturing 3D-printers to order became one of the main directions in the scope of TEN fab production. The company has accumulated considerable experience of mass production of turnkey products of such kind. TEN fab has a broad pool of suppliers delivering components and can offer their clients solutions to optimize their product manufacturing. TEN fab is planning to provide complete assembly of Anisoprint printers, which is already in discussion.

Anisoprint is the Russian-Luxembourg company with a widespread distribution network across Europe. The company specializes in manufacturing 3D-printers aimed at printing composite components reinforced by continuous fibre. Currently the product line of printers made by this producer consists of two tabletop models: Composer A3 and Composer A4. They have different sizes of the printing table. The printing head of the Anisoprint printers has two nozzles. The first one is for co-extrusion of the filament with thermoplastic, and the second is for feeding plastic used in the printing of external shell and supports.

TEN fab is part of the TechnoSpark Group of Companies specializing in high-precision machining and contract manufacturing. TEN fab provides engineering, develops design documentation, carries out prototyping and serial production using cutting-edge CNC equipment.
