“Russia has a law that encourages import substitution: the advantage in public procurement and tenders for medical equipment is given to the equipment produced in Russia, with local content varying from 50 to 70%. At the same time, at 2020, the share of medical products manufactured in Russia was only 15% in rubles. Therefore, we see great opportunities opened for foreign manufacturers in increasing sales in Russia by virtue of localization.”
CEO of Medica Ekaterina Khodunova
Medica specializes in the full range of services for localizing foreign medical equipment in Russia, including contract manufacturing of components and integration, medical devices registration and obtaining a Made in Russia certificate.
