The Tubot robotic startup (part of the TechnoSpark group of companies with the participation of SIGMA.Novosibirsk investment network of the Fund for Infrastructure and Educational Programs of the RUSNANO Group) in August 2021 has successfully tested a system for cleaning pipelines from asphalt and paraffin deposits in the Samara region.
An in-line robot is a mechatronic complex for non-destructive control and maintenance of technological pipelines It is assembled with various functional modules depending on the work performed and moves inside the pipe due to a robotic chassis.
To clean the pipe, a mobile pumping station supplies water through a hose to a specialized robot module, which knocks down deposits at a pressure of 1000 bar.
“We have successfully tested the equipment for cleaning the pipeline: we adjusted the operating modes of the module of the robotic complex in such a way that we managed to pass two sections of the pipe with deposits that are characteristic for oil pipelines, removing such deposits completely. Such cleaning is a necessary procedure before pipeline diagnostics. Karcher became a partner”.

The tests were part of the agreement on the joint development of an in-line robotic complex for diagnosing technological pipelines between Transneft PJSC, Transneft-Diascan JSC, the Fund for Infrastructure and Educational Programs, Tubot.
