In August 2021, Composite Mask, the manufacturer of individual face masks (part of the Sport Tech cluster of the TechnoSpark group of companies of the FIOP investment network of the Rusnano group), produced an individual face mask for the defender and captain of the Rubin football club Philip Uremovich.
The defender of the Rubin Kazan football club Philip Uremovich from Croatia sustained a nose injury just before Krasnodar – Rubin match of the Russian Premier League. To protect the facial bones during the match, FC Rubin physician Mikhail Butovsky resorted to the Composite Mask company to manufacture an individual mask. According to the doctor, playing without a mask is fraught with a longer rehabilitation period, separation from the training process, and possible surgery.
“To order an individual mask made of carbon fiber, in order to be able to continue training, and most importantly – to participate in matches, athletes no longer have to interrupt the training process. Our Composite Mask startup makes masks according to computed tomography data remotely and in a short time, as in this case, just before the match, and can deliver them to athletes.”

The company received the athlete’s face computed tomography data on the basis of which a 3D model of the product was built in one day. Then the company made an individual face mask of carbon fiber and sent it to Krasnodar. In the mask by our startup, the player continues to prepare for the match for the Croatian national team.
This was the second time that FC Rubin applied to the Composite Mask company. Earlier, ex-Rubin midfielder Darko Jevtich trained and played wearing this useful accessory.
